Divide the waters from the waters.

Gen 1:6  And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

Gen 1:7  And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

Gen 1:8  And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

Does the Bible teach about an ice age?

I believe it does, thus why divide the waters from the waters?

Remember just the day before God restored light, which means that before that day there was no light, which means no heat. With no heat we all know what happens to water, it goes from liquid to solid!

If you don’t know anything about water, a simple graphic below will show you the 3 states of water!

So I believe that the earth was one big white snowball in the beginning of day 2, and at the end of the day the ice was melted and the atmosphere was restored as in the beginning and the remaining water would be taken care of in day 3.

So the ice caps date back to between the end of Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 When the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the (frozen, solid) waters.

I would love to add the word “Ice” but the word ice is nowhere to be found in the entire Bible!

So day 2 with the radiation (heat) from the sun the frozen water went from 1 state to the 3 states.
