What Is Everything Made Of? - Part Three

In Part II of this series, we revealed that the Planck Length is the base unit of matter that is responsible for creating all things great and small.  

Beyond this barrier, matter breaks down basically into information that is spread out everywhere in space and time.  At least, this is what scientists have discovered so far.  What lies beyond that doesn't really matter to us, but knowing that we can use the Planck Length as our basic building block is a gold mine in itself!

We demonstrated that our world and everything in and around it is made up of a grid, or matrix or Planck Lengths stacked up beside and on top of each other.  For illustration purposes only, here is what such a one-inch cubed grid (or lattice, matrix) could look like.

Each cube in this grid does not necessarily have to be square, the shape can be very different.  What is important to note is that each cube is a quantized and addressable (more on this later!) area of space and time.

Side Note:  As a musician, I use quantization very regularily when using software to edit and compose music.  Not everyone can play in time, which is important when you want your music to sound just right.  When a track is quantized, the notes will arrange themselves to the closest note denomination (i.e. quarter note, eight-note, sixteenth-note, etc.) which saves a lot of time and anguish when a precise timing is needed.

Going back to our quantized Planck Length (which for convenience we will now call a quantum bit), we know that the information that is streamed from it is essentially waves of energy that eventually form all matter and time. We can go a step further and say that each quantum bit emits waves of light radiation.  Looking at the electromagnetic spectrum, we see the different forms that light can take, including the visible portion, which for us is a very narrow band.  Red, yellow, pink, green, orange, purple and blue are all forms of electromagnetic radiation.

Did you know that sound has a colour frequency too?  Although we don't see this with our eyes, each note or vibratory frequency of sound emits colour!  There are some people that have a condition called synesthesia. These people can see a visible colour when they hear certain sounds or musical notes.  Below is a chart that illustrates the connection between sound and colour.

Very impressive, don't you think?  This is the potential (plus a lot more) that is contained in every quantum bit that makes up our reality!   When God proclaimed in Genesis 1:3, "and let there be light", He wasn't kidding around! Light is just another form of EM radiation.

Now then,  if we examine a single quantum bit, we can see that it "remembers" where it's place is in space and time.  The proof of this is all around us!   For example, look around you and notice those objects that don't move.  Or perhaps, you may be thinking about something that you left at home or at work.  Later on, when you go looking for it you'll find where you placed it.  It did not move (unless someone moved it).  From this, we can conclude that object keep their shape, form and location because each quantum bit can "remember" where it last was.  Depending on its physical or chemical properties it may or may not change state (i.e. decay).  For example, a computer monitor will keep its shape, form and location when untouched while an apple will eventually rot and decompose if left out for enough period of time.

In computer terminology, a bit is the smallest unit that can store data or information.  It has only 2 variables, on and off, or 1 and 0.  When you arrange a series of bits in a row, you get a byte.

Computers use memory devices to store massive amounts of computer bytes, in either local memory (RAM) or on removable memory (hard drive, USB sticks, DVD disks) so that information can be stored in a permanent fashion.

From what we can observe about our reality, a quantum bit works on the same principle as a computer bit.  It ether has information (1 or on state), or it has no information (0 or off state).  It's a very simple yet very intelligent switch.  When we put this in perspective of our 1-inch cube of quantum bits, what we have is an area in space and time that can be addressable just as with computer memory addresses.

A practical and very important example of how computers use memory and addressing is with video displays, or graphics accelerator cards.  Below is an example of such a card.

The job of a graphics accelerator is to take information from the computer and display it on a screen, which is usually a grid of pixels layed out in a 2-D array, 640 x 480, 800 x 600, 1600 x 1200, etc.  The main processor on a graphics accelerator is called a RAMDAC (Random Access Memory Digital to Analog Converter).  A RAMDAC uses memory addressing in order to turn on or off individual pixels on the screen with data.

Similar to the RAMDAC on a graphics accelator (video card, video chip), the process that creates light from our quantum bits acts in like manner, only on a much larger scale and uses a processing power that is beyond the scope of our human imagination!  In a way, the world around us can be likened to a flat screen technology that spans the entire universe.

 

Does the Bible say anything that agrees with this?  You bet it does!  See for yourself...

He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.

 

In Part IV of our series, we will put what we have learned so far into practical applications that we can use in our daily lives!  This will be the most important step in our series, as our aim is to bring knowledge to the masses so that everyone can get peace of mind about why they were put here on this Earth, and how they can plan their lives according to what the scriptures demand of us!  Perspective is everything!  Stay tuned, and see you again here very soon!
